Description
This appendix extends the official SFI Group System (v7.12) for dredging and offshore construction vessels. All codes sit within Primary Group 4 — Special Equipment, under subgroups 482 and 483.
- Dredging (482) — TSHD, CSD and Backhoe Dredger plant with full parent/child hierarchy, from seabed engagement through slurry transport to material discharge.
- Offshore Systems & Diving Equipment (483) — A-frames, AHC winches, deck handling, LARS, subsea power & control, and offshore construction tooling.
⚠️ r4 change: Primary Group 9 (900–999) is reserved in SFI and must not be used. Codes 972–992 used in r3 have been retired and replaced by subgroup 483 (Primary Group 4, alongside 482).
